This Past Week: God is Working in My Life

This past week has been a busy one. Starting Sunday night we hung out with friends until late and trucked it to school the next day. This continued until Wednesday, it was a teacher day so no class. I was able to sleep in and have a nice relaxing day. All I did that day was go to the store and prepare dinner for CORE (college group) that night.

On Friday we had a women’s conference at our church and I was in charge of doing the icebreakers for Friday and Saturday. It was nice to be able to be a part of the conference. The conference was called “Loved Beyond Measure” it focused on God’s love for us. There was a lot that I thought and prayed about over that weekend. My roommate and I were able to share our recent struggles and share blessings in our lives. Reflecting back I can see the positive impact it had on me.

I know I need to work on opening up to people and let people in. Being an open book can be very helpful when going through struggles.

I feel so blessed, looking at this past year I can see God working in my life. I might not  know my purpose yet but I can see the path God is laying out for me.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NIV

My Bedroom

It’s been almost 6 months since I have lived in Ellensburg. I feel that I should share what our apartment looks like piece by piece. First I am including photos of my bedroom.

When picking things out for my room I didn't have a theme in mind but it turned out to be Paris inspired. It’s small and simple but I have made it my own and I am loving it!

I'm Back!

After over a month without writing a post, I am back!

December was a busy month for me. I finished finals week and made it through. Then I headed back home for the Holidays. I got to spend a couple of days just with my family until I started work. I worked all break until a couple days before I left.

I also had a birthday over the break, I turned 21! Then came Christmas and all the festivities that come along with that. Spending time with my family during the Holidays is always a joy. We saw the Hobbit together and it was as good as I thought it was going to be.

For New Year’s I spend it with some of my friends from high school and my best friend Susie. It was a good time to catch up with them. I had some time to reflect on the past year and all that has changed in my life. I have moved out and attending a four year university. I can see that great things that happened this last year and I am excited to see where 2015 will take me.

Finally I attended a wedding for my campaigner leader. It was a sweet ceremony that included both their kids, followed by a really fun reception surrounded by friends.

I am now back at school starting a new quarter. I can already tell that this quarter is going to be lots of fun and educational. I am planning on writing a blog post at least once a week. God Bless.
